Inspired Entertainment, Inc. recently announced that its virtual sports products will be deployed at retailer locations in Pennsylvania following a ground-breaking technology project with the Pennsylvania Lottery and Scientific Games.

Virtual sports products will launch as part of an integration with the Pennsylvania Lottery’s central gaming system provided by Scientific Games. Initially, Stock Car Racing and the new 1st Down Virtual Football will be offered.  Scheduled events will be streamed into a mixture of retail venues and bars and taverns throughout Pennsylvania via two dedicated channels throughout the day. Incredible Technologies granted Ontario Gaming License | 2018-05-08



Incredible Technologies (IT) recently announced that its application to supply slot machines to casinos in Ontario, Canada has been approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. This is IT’s first Canadian gaming license with plans underway to expand to other provinces. The license marks the company’s first international expansion for its popular Infinity slot products.

Coinciding with the license, IT recently hired Dave Stone as Director of Sales – Canada. Stone will oversee the Illinois-based company’s rollout throughout the country. 

“Having Ontario as our first provincial gaming license in Canada is a big milestone for us,” said Dan Schrementi, IT vice president of gaming sales and marketing. “As it stands, licensing efforts are underway in four additional provinces and demand for IT games is at an all-time high. Barry Cottle, currently CEO of SG Interactive, will become the company’s new president and CEO, effective June 1. Cottle will replace current president and CEO Kevin Sheehan who will remain with the company as a senior advisor. Seven new eateries are joining downtown Detroit’s flourishing food scene this spring. On May 1, Greektown Casino-Hotel will unveil its new food hall, Monroe Market, and ramen noodle bar and restaurant, Noodle Art

The casino completed a $15 million renovation, with Detroit-based Rossetti Associates Inc. as the project architect and designer, to transform the former Market District into Monroe Market and Noodle Art. Located on the main casino floor, the new eateries will be open daily.

Named after the main street in Detroit’s historic Greektown District, Monroe Market is a curated collection of culinary experiences in a unique setting reminiscent of a dynamic street market. Spanning 11,000 square feet, the food hall features six fast-casual eateries situated around a contemporary dining area complete with eclectic décor, communal seating, custom vinyl murals, and a 280-square-foot living wall. Monroe Market’s eateries will each offer their own style and distinctive cuisine utilizing fresh, local and high-quality ingredients. Guests will be able to conveniently place their orders and pay using innovative touch-screen kiosks.

Located next to Monroe Market, Noodle Art will serve up traditional Japanese ramen with a Detroit twist in a glass-enclosed space that features pop-culture decor. The restaurant will offer pork-, chicken- and soy-based broths that are made in-house, a process which can take up to three days. In addition to ramen, Noodle Art will serve Japanese fried chicken, hand-made pork dumplings, tuna sashimi and other rice and noodle bowls.

Boyd Gaming to acquire Lattner Entertainment Group | 2018-05-03



Boyd Gaming Corporation recently announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Lattner Entertainment Group Illinois, LLC (Lattner), for total cash consideration of $100 million. Lattner currently operates nearly 1,000 gaming units in 220 locations across the state of Illinois.

The purchase price represents an implied multiple of approximately eight times adjusted EBITDA, including incremental growth opportunities and expected cost synergies. The company anticipates the acquisition will be free cash flow positive and immediately accretive to earnings.

“The acquisition of Lattner is a strategic opportunity to further diversify and expand our business,” said Keith Smith, president and CEO of Boyd Gaming. “Lattner will provide us a valuable new avenue to access gaming customers, and a platform to participate in the expansion of distributed gaming. We are excited to welcome the Lattner team to Boyd Gaming, and look forward to establishing ourselves as one of the leading distributed gaming operators in the country.”

The transaction is expected to close by the end of the second quarter of 2018, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions and the receipt of all required regulatory approvals. The company intends to finance the transaction through cash flow from operations and availability under its existing credit facility.

Morrison & Foerster LLP served as legal advisor to Boyd Gaming for the transaction. Wells Fargo Securities served as exclusive financial advisor and Koley Jessen served as legal advisor to Lattner during the transaction.

(Inspired or the company) recemt;u announced that, effective immediately, the company has formed the Office of the Executive Chairman, which will consist of Executive Chairman Lorne Weil; President and Chief Operating Officer Brooks Pierce; Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Daniel Silvers; and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Stewart Baker. The Office of the Executive Chairman will execute the day-to-day management of the company.

In connection with the formation of the Office of the Executive Chairman, Brooks Pierce has been named the company’s president and COO. Pierce recently joined the company as senior vice president, North America. He has over 25 years of experience in the gaming industry. He joins established company executives Weil, Silvers and Baker in the new Office of Executive Chairman. Also in connection with the formation of the Office of the Executive Chairman, the company’s CFO, Stewart Baker, has been promoted to the position of executive vice president and CFO.

The company also announced that Luke Alvarez, president and CEO, is departing the Inspired group, under terms being finalized.
